Joe Cajero, Jr. (Jemez Pueblo)
About the Artist
Joe knew early on that he wanted to be an artist. Initially studying two-dimensional art at IAIA, he later focused on clay and bronze sculpture. He is an award-winning artist known for both his elegant, spiritual forms, as well as for his more whimsical and humorous koshari figures. He has enjoyed his latest foray into bronze and the process of selecting the patinas and colors that are used in that medium. “Each of my sculptures invariably represents some aspect of praise and appreciation for life’s beauty,” says Joe.
