About the Artist

Emerging Artist Del Curfman is an enrolled member of the Crow Nation of Montana. He is currently enrolled and obtaining his BFA in Studio Arts with a focus on painting at the Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Curfman's culture has been a constant influence in his life and work. His work represents techniques and styles of Impressionism. With loose brushwork and semi-abstraction he captures the essence of nature. “My objective: to showcase my heritage and the living history of my people, the Apsaalooké, through my artwork. Art is a perspective and is all-inclusive because art is our humanity. It is in our very essence as human beings to be artistic, to imagine, and to produce creativity,” says Curfman
