Jhane Myers (Comanche/Blackfeet)
About the Artist
Jhane is a sixth-generation Oklahoman known for her clothing design, regalia, Plains dolls, and beadwork. She incorporates traditional designs, materials, and decorative styles into her contemporary creations. She and her husband, Ed, were recently awarded the “Best of Show” at the Heard in 2010 for their “Coyote as Champion” marionette that Jhane designed all of the clothing for. She has also served as a community cultural consultant representing the Southern Plains at the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington, DC.
