About the Artist
"I was taught by my elders that you cannot be a whole and healthy individual without art in your life," says Michael. He is a true renaissance man--a jeweler, painter, actor, stunt man, sculptor, and activist. Born near Tucson, he grew up in a talented family of artists who taught him. His work ranges from traditional to contemporary and he enjoys exploring how both are connected. "I am inspired deeply by political artists, those who use their work to inspire others, such as Diego Rivera."
