Fidel Bahe (Dine' (Navajo))
About the Artist
In 1976, Fidel became an apprentice to famed jeweler, Preston Monongye, who taught him the fundamentals and techniques of fine jewelry-making. While inspired by many contemporary artists, Fidel has returned to more traditional designs, particularly influenced by the first and second phases of Navajo jewelry. In addition to making jewelry, Fidel is also a horse trainer.
