Jody Naranjo (Santa Clara)
About the Artist
Eighth-generation Pueblo potter Jody Naranjo is the 2017 Museum of Indian Arts and Culture’s Living Treasure.
Jody delights pottery fans with the parade of whimsical figures and animals that populate her pots. She hails from a remarkably talented family from Santa Clara Pueblo and has won countless awards at art shows across the country for her intricately etched work--including the "Best of Pottery" award at the 2011 Indian Market. She enjoys carving contemporary images onto traditionally made pottery and has one of the most recognizable styles of any potter working today.
